the first world war made indian industries to grow faster.the countries which participated in first world war gave the indian industries to make guns and other things needed for the war.they also bought food.with british mills become busy with war, production to meet the needs of the army, manchester imports into india declined.
suddenly india mill had a vast home market to supply.as the war prolonged, indian factories were called upon to supply war needs: jute bags, cloth for army uniforms, tents and leather boots etc. new factories were setup and old ones ran multiple shifts. many new workers were employed and everyone was made to work longer hours. over the war years industrial production boomed

IMPACT OF WORLD WAR 1 ON INDIAN INDUSTRIES WERE--
1.Indian industries saw a rise in industrial production due to the First World War. British industries became busy in producing war related goods.
2.The British stopped exporting items for the colonial market including India. This provided an opportunity for India to release home products in the market.
3.India revived home production and there was an increase in the industrial production. The rising demand for goods led to the setting up of new factories as well.
4.The old industries were revived and many workers got employment.
