the treaty lasted for 183 days which after, the Spanish military signed the  Treaty of Córdoba  which gained Mexico their independence and controlled most of the Spanish colonies.

controversy also gathered surrounding the Texas border. two of the rivers had been swapped around on maps blurring the lines of the borders of texas.

later disputes between california and Oregon borders which are still on going today
