these are the main aims of french revolutionaries.....

1.The French wanted to emulate the American Revolution except instead of breaking away from a foreign government, they want to upset the French Monarchy and install a government like the U.S. did.

2.Nearly all revolutions are initiated by the Middle Class, and France was no exception. A central government was established and they tried to develop a constitution. The king and his family were executed.

3.Soon, the revolution turned into a blood bath. Much of the royalty was rounded up and tried for various crimes and 50% of the royalty wisely left France, many never to return. Thus the intellectual core of France was destroyed by the initial movements toward democracy.
