The Gemini program organized by NASA space research in USA had four primary goals to start of which were :-

  1. Astronauts were to be tested to observe their flight duration skills i.e.. how long could they fly in space continuously without loosing control over the spacecraft at any point of time.
  2. Land astronauts successfully when they execute apollo missions to the moon.
  3. Successfully intercept spacecrafts that were inactive in between Earth and the Moon.
  4. To develop technologies that could sustain humans outside the spacecrafts when they go to mission to moon.

Answer:

C. to develop and test new space technologies

Explanation:

Gemini had four main goals: to test an astronaut's ability to fly long-duration missions (up to two weeks in space); to understand how spacecraft could rendezvous and dock in orbit around the Earth and the moon; to perfect re-entry and landing methods; and to further understand the effects of longer space flights
