There were following Main objectives of the constitutional amendment made in 1992 in india are-
amazing steps towards decentralisation was taken in 1992 the constitution was amended to make a third tier of a democracy more powerful and effective
☆ now it is constitutionally mandatory to hold regular election to local government bodies
☆ seats are the reserved in the elected body of these institutions for the schedule castes Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes
☆ at least one third of all positions are reserved for women
☆ in independent Nation or institution called a state election commission has been created in at each case or state to conduct Panchayat and Municipal Elections
☆the state government are required to save some powers and revenue with local government bodies the nature of having where is from state to state
ADVANTAGE OF DECENTRALISATION -
☆sharing of power between Central and state and local reduces conflicts
☆ larger number of problems and issues can based battled at local level
☆people have a better knowledge of a problem in their localities people have better knowledge of their own problems
☆ they known better on where to spend money and how to manage things efficiently
☆people at the local level will participate directly in decision making
