A substantial reduction in infant mortality rates was one of the most remarkable causes of population growth. Migration from rural areas to cities due to industrial revolution in the 18th century. Shortage of natural resources in forests and other rural areas was also one of the reason of population growth. Immigration from other centres was also a major cause.
