The yellow journalism appeared out in America in 1890’s with war cartoons, eye catching headlines and sensational war news at the time of selling race between two newspapers.  Most of the American people depended on newspapers to acknowledge the world events especially the Cuba and Spanish-American war.  

The yellow journalism with sensational cartoons and eye grabbing headlines had tickled the hearts of Americans. As a result of yellow journalism people started pressurising the government to go for war with Spain.
