the poor in England opposed the threshing machine because for them it was a sign of bad times.the machines reduced the dependence of land owners on the labourers.this resulted in their displacement.many poor lost their jobs in threshing period and had to search for new employment opportunities in cities and towns.the machines give the landowners bargaining powers.this led in the decrease of labourer's wages.hence the jobs of the poor become insecure,income unstable and livelihood precarious...
