Mr. Koch was Einstein's arithmetic educator. He was an extraordinary man, likely who was not envious of Einstein's knowledge. He respected knowledge of Einstein and lamented his not ready to encourage what he needed to realize and sympathized with him for this current school which is not ready to give his sort of education. Aside from this, Mr. Koch gave him a certificate, that assisted Einstein to secure a seat in a reputable university.
