The mariner was truly regretful for his action of killing the albatross ,this haunted him for the rest of his life , he stops the wedding guest to tell his tale of woe and misery with a hope that it will lighten his heart.

He was grown old so he don't care about whether the wedding guest is in hurry or not because old age is just like second childhood so he hold is hand with his skinny and thin hand and started his story but when the wedding guest said him to leave his hand he leaves his hand at once and then his hyponthise him with his glittering eyes.
