Explanation: Nitish Kumar celebrated 100 years of Champaran agitation by releasing three the books.These books were based on Gandhiji`s 1917 Champaran movement.These books were namely

1) Mister M K Gandhi Ki Champaran Diary by Arvind Mohan

2) Champaran Andolan 1917 by Ashutosh Partheshwar

3) Pir Muhammad Munis: Kalam Ka Satyagrahi' by Srikant.

Gandhiji launched a non violent movement against the British rulers,  against the forcibly cultivation of indigo.The agitation began on 10th April 1917.

The celebration was attended by family members of Mahatma Gandhi, Tushar Gandhi and Gopal Krishna Gandhi at the newly constructed Gyan Bhawan in the presence of the Chief Minister of Bihar Mr Nitish Kumar. The  function also featured Madhubani painting reflecting Gandhiji`s views on  sari.
