What was the nature of revolts against the British before the first war of independence?

The happening of revolts was not good but the reason for which revolts were done were good.....therfore on the whole u can conclude that the nurse of revolt was good....also the happening of revolt caused many of the people to die and sacrifice their lives for the independence of the state or the whole country.....

the causes of revolt was political , economic,social and religious, military, immediate causes the revolt not good but the results of the revolt was good
