Answer:

Reference:         We come across these word in the essay “The curb in the sky” written by James Thurber. He was an American humourist and he wrote many book, they are The seal in the bedroom, My life and Hard times are some of Thurber’s well know book. He was not only blessed with skill to write book and play but also an amazing to draw cartoons

Context:               IN this essay the writer, James Thurber try to explain his friend Charlie Deshler life after his marriage to Dorothy and the behaver of Dorothy

Illustration:     Charlie married Dorothy without caring the warnings of his friends. He really did not know anything about Dorothy. except that she was pretty and bright-eyed and desirable Charlie was a great story teller. She took to correcting his stories. During their courtship Dorothy genuinely interested in him and in his stories. He had travelled greatly and experienced greatly. Since she had never shared any of the adventures he told about, she could not know when she made mistakes in time and in place. She suggested a change here or there in the number of a verb. Mostly she kept quiet.

When once Charlie began to tell about a motor trip they had made, Dorothy denied about everything Charlie said. In course of his narration, Dorothy often interrupted Charlie by asking him if he were right, instead of telling him that he was wrong. At the end of the second year of their marriage Charlie began to narrate an extremely un usual story about a dream he had. His intention was that Dorothy could not correct him on his own dreams. Charlie has developed monomania. No body can live in a fantastic dream world always and be sane. Charlie began to live entirely in shadow. Charlie was sent to an asylum. In the asylum Dorothy was sitting on achair beside his bed. He looked quite mad. He began to narrate the same old dream about the trip to the moon. When he said"I pulled over to the curb....",Dorothy interfered and said that there were no curbs in the sky. She said that he always got that story wrong.

Analysis:

Dorothy has the habit of constantly interrupting other people when they speak, in order to correct their mistake or to finish their sentences, as reults Charile went down to ashylum for his monomania.
