1- :They had the maturity to accept that states would evolve and change, and hence made provisions for creation of new states in Indian Union.
2-In 1956, as a part of the States Reorganization Act, the states in India were arranged on linguistic basis. This resulted in the creation of new states. Andhra Pradesh was created by merging Andhra State with the Telugu speaking area of the Hyderabad State.
3-India has been divided into states and union territories in order to maintain effective administration, maintain law and order, provide citizens their necessities and for overall development.
