Month water Level, in Feet.

January 572

April 571(3/4)

July 571(1/4)

October 570(1/4)

To Find :-

  • Change of water level from january to October.

Solution :-

given that,

→ in January level of water was = 572 feet .

and ,

→ in October level of water was = 570(1/4) = (2281/4) feet.

So,

→ Change of of water level from january to October = (572/1) - (2281/4)

Taking LCM of denominator , we get 4 ,

→ (572 * 4 - 2281) /4

→ (2288 - 2281) / 4

→ (7/4)

1(3/4) Feet (Ans.)

Therefore, Level of water drop by 1(3/4) feet from january to October.
