When the French class came to its end, M. Hamel stood up with grief and sadness in his eyes. He was very sad and his face looked pale after the clock bell struck twelve. He was so much in grief that he was unable to speak anything. He took a piece of chalk and wrote on the blackboard 'Viva La France- Long Live France'. After writing this he gave his announcement told the students to leave the school. He dismissed the class with a lot of disappointment.
