The Poem 'SNAKE' is written by Sicilian poet ' D H Lawrence'.
The whole poem is based on the fact that snakes r harmful to humans and the poet should kill it.
The dilemma is that,
The inner voice of the poet says him to kill the snake as golden coloured snakes in Sicily r considered as venomous, but the poet know have felt an attraction towards the snake and he didn't want to kill it.
But at last he hits the snake with a piece of log
The killing and non-killing the snake is the dual attitude of the poet
