In Europe, Belgium is a small country. In Belgium the ethnic composition is very complex. There were three linguistic groups in Belgium Dutch,French and German speaking people.
The political problems faced by Belgium are as follows :
1.The main problem faced by Belgium was an arrangement of power sharing between the linguistic groups.
2.Out of the total population of the country ,59% speaks Dutch and live in Flemish region while 40% speak French and reside in Wallonia region . The remaining 1% of Belgians speak German.
3. The minority French speaking community was relatively rich and Powerful. The Dutch speaking majority resented this as they got the benefit of economic development much later.
