Konkan Railway has been facilitating the movement of goods and passengers during a long time.  

There are many problems those are faced by the Konkan Railway. During monsoon the railway faces many challenges.  

One of the major problems is landslide. The railway tracks are sinking due to landslides and some stretches.

1) The Sinking of track in some stretches and landslides.

2) Building over 2000 bridges and 91 tunnels through the mountain terrain that contain many rivers.

3) Acquisition of land.

4) Wild animals damaging the construction sites as the region were densely forested.

5) Most of the tunnels collapsed at once after they had been dug, demanding the work to be done again
