Peruvudaiyar Kovil, well known as Brihadeeswarar Temple, RajaRajeshwara and RajarajeswaramTemple, was edified by Raja Raja Chola I in the year 1010 AD.

The temple was built by Raja Raja Chola. The most striking feature of this temple is it's Vimana.
