Hi Friend!!!

In ancient times at Egypt people used like living so much that they wanted to live FOREVER!! so they thought to preserve the body for the afterlife would help them achieve this goal.

Therefore after removing every part of the body except the heart (which in exceptional cases was protected by scarab amulet) which was believed that Anubis , the Egyptian god of the dead would weight it on a scale to see if it is lighter than the "Feather of truth"

Tho the middle class were buried in low pit graveyards Some Pharaohs ( I mean ones who were good rulers) would be placed in Enormous Tombs made by the people to honor them

They also used to wrap the body/mummy in a linen cloth which used to preserve it and prevent decomposition.

Hope it helps!!!
