The purpose of puffing up a big hump on the back of the camel was because of the foolishness of the camel . The camel didn't work with his mates ( The dog ; The horse & The ox ) and merely ate sticks , thorns , prickles etc. in the middle of the desert ; that is only resting and no work . So , at last The Djinn punished the camel and made a big puffing hump on the camel's back ..
