To stop the spread of plague, as rat hunt was started in 1902. Vietnamese workers were hired for the task and were paid for each rat being caught. People began to catch rats in thousands. The payment was done when a tail of a rat was shown as a proof that a rat had been killed.

Colonizers want to develop Vietnam..as the sewage pipe broke and all the rats came out in the city colonizers organized a bounty programme...In this the Vietnam people should hunt the rats and give to the colonizers which in return they will give some amount for hunting the rat...but this method failed because some Vietnamese people would hunt the rat and cut it's tail and left the rat. which did not bring any change in that city.
