The bigbang occured because the large mass was too hot inside. Its internal pressure was too much that it could not hold together as one single piece of huge mass. There were a lot of reactions taking place inside th thick solid matter.
The huge mass was very dense and hot, and so at one point of time it had to go for a big bang.
After the big bang, a lot of cosmic dust had spread around in all directions in the Universe. Perhaps all the galaxies are traveling at some rate. Reason is the momentum gained after the big bang.
