What was the reason behind the formation of United Nations Organisation (UNO
State any three aims of the UNO.

The UNO was established after the second world war in 24 October 1945. After the second world war a similar world organisation had been found which was known as the league of nation. The League of Nations existed for about 20 years but failed to maintain International peace. To maintain this international peace , and promote political social and  economic cooperation among the Nations UNO was formed.



The main Aims of the UNO are:

i)

To maintain International peace and security.


ii)

To develop friendly relations among Nations based on respect the principles of equal rights and self  determination of the people.


iii)

To achieve International cooperation for solving International problems of an economic , social and humanitarian character
.
