What was the reason for the brasttite being hated by all in the French

Bastille stood for the despotic power of the king..... that's why everybody hates it.

In France, the prices of bread had rose high and the people thought that the king would order to open fire upon the citizens... that's why storming of Bastille became the immediate cause of French revolution.

But the basic reason why it was hated by all was because it showed the power of the king as the king could arrest anyone and sent to Bastille prison
