becaue of thier no powerfull rulers and instant attacks of neighbouring dynasties such as pandyas ,cheras and cholas.

due to inefficient rulers of the dynasty and not able to compete with comtempary rulers of chera,chola,pandya.etc.
they were succeed by the dynasty of rashtrakutas (the first ruler was dantidurga)
