Disadvantage:

A person may not get the thing he wants because in barter system both the person must have the same wills.

Advantage :

There is no use of money.

Marked coins make the transactions easier.

Answer :  Punch-marked coins are considered the earliest documented coins in India. Chennai: When the barter system lost credibility in ancient times, a uniform currency system came into being. But checking the weight and purity of the metal used for this purpose required technical expertise.  

So punch mark system was better than batter system.
