The revenue was collected for the mansabdars by their servants while the mansabdars themselves served in some other part of the country.

There was a very deep relationship between the Mansabdars and the Jagirs. Mansabdars were paid as jagirs. Mansabas had the right to collect revenue from Jagir, but could not administer Jagir. He used to collect taxes from his entire estate by his lended mans while he used to served in other parts of the nation.
