The French Revolution resulted in an almost innumerable amount of changes to France. It toppled the millennium old monarchy that had ruled France (by beheading the entire royal family.) It strengthened and centralized Frances power, gave rise to democratic fervour that led to the rise of the First French Republic, and one of the most important results, I believe, it gave Napoleon the oppurtunity to gain power. He went from a lieutenant to the emperor of France in the course of just about a couple decades. He changed France from struggling after a revolution into the powerhouse that nearly conquered Europe. The revolution brought France prestige, the end to one of the last major monarchies, power, one of the greatest generals and leaders in history, increased French nationalism, and the emergence of the middle class.
