In 1848 a revolution was stareted by the middle class. Events of February 1848 in France brought about abdication of monarch and proclaims male suffargae. Germany, Italy, Poland and Austro-Hungarian empire demanded constitutionalism with national unification.

Monarchs realises to end this by granting concessions. After 1848, Eastern Europe introduces changes which were introduced in Central and western Europe before 1815. Bonded labour and Serfdom was abolished. Habsburg rulers granted more autonomy to the Hungarians in 1867.
