Dr Ambedkar 's life and legacy continues to inspire many people who think that caste system should end and fair society development is the way for us to make progress

Explanation:

  • Ambedkar's goal was to improve the legal status and to facilitate change among the untouchables in education and the social and economic conditions. Ambedkar began several successful movements for untouchability. In 1927, he organised a Satyagraha in Mahad in Maharashtra with a population of 10,000, to draw water from a public lake and to share it with them. Many other motions, such as 'Temples of the Hindu,' have started in 1929-1930.
  • In 1920, Ambedkar initiated a weekly "Mooknayak" to protest the current Hindu caste system and the injustice of castes.
  • After returning to India in 1924 Dr. Ambedkar agreed to initiate an active campaign of intouchability. He established the Hitkaraini Sabha Bahishkrut in 1924 and intended to uproot institutions of castes in India. The organisation has been running free schools and libraries for all ages. Dr Ambedkar took the Dalits' complaints to court and he had took them before the judges.
  • In the following years Dr. Ambedkar held marches asking for Dalit 's right to use public services for potable water and his right to join temples. Dr. Ambedkar marched to public tanks and reservoirs with his fellow Dalitas and dank water from these reservoirs and even took bath with the tank water, while the Hindu upper caste carried out heavy assaults .
  • In a 1927 meeting, Dr. Ambedkar had "openly criticised" the Manusmriti for seeking to defend inequality in castes and untouchability. On December 25, 1927, he led several thousand Dalits and burnt various journals. Dr Ambedkar argued strongly against the caste system.
  • Ambedkar attended the "Ist Round Table" meeting in London in the thirties and proposed that a distinct electorate retain untouchables. The British cabinet agreed it and the city prize was declared for the untouchable in 1931.
  • In 1936 the "Independent Labor Party," organised to protect Indian workers ' rights and the working class, opposed the elections in 1937 and gained 14 out of 17 seats.
  • In the constitution for upliftment of planned castes Ambedkar introduced several articles.
