Cavour was the prime minister of Sardinia -piedmont.He played an important role in the unification of italy.As he was a french speaking man he got help from France . With the help of France ,Cavour raged wars and unified former princely states .

yeah i have mentioned there he played a key role in the unification by putting on the shoes to the king by driving out the bourbon kings of spain

Cavour was a French ally to the princely state and played a key role in unification through a tactful and diplomatic way they were successful in driving out the Austrian Habsburg empire frm north Garibaldi further helped the king by marching to the south then took the help of the peasants and farmers and managed to drive them out thus this led to the unification
