Role of Science in the future has been very positive in the last five decades on the growth of the country as well as the world. If we are living with better food, clothing and housing, that is the gift of many scientists and engineers. The contribution continues to increase in future as the human race is trying to achieve more with less effort, and to provide more amenities for itself.
The role of science is essential in the following :
1. To enhance the national security, and to provide a stable society and stable nation.
2. Do research into health related issues – make medicines, techniques, tools and equipment used in curing and prevention of diseases.

4 To improve the life style, quality of life, food, water of people in villages
5 To reduction of pollution in air, water and environment. Provide ways to implement 4Rs: Reduce, Recycle, Reuse and Recreate.
6 To provide cheaper and better ways of production of materials that are essential for living, including for house construction
7 To invent advanced technology gadgets for convenience.
8 To invent and put in practice better modes of transport.
9 To help growth in the economy of the nation.
10. To help better communication among family members, to make family life better
11. To prevent crime and to catch criminals quickly.
12. To help preserve the ancient traditions and culture by providing modern ways within the scope of existing ways. Science has a role not to alienate people who follow old traditions.
13. To help understand the Universe, the planets, stars etc. so that the space program is beneficial to all.
14. To bring into practice eco-friendly housing, corporate and industrial practices.
15. To help preserve our heritage articles (sculptures, paintings, crafts) and monuments.
16. To minimize the impact of disasters both manmade and natural.
To ensure national security and social stability
For a resource-poor country like the Republic of Korea, conserving energy and oil-substitutable energy is vital. Food technology is similarly important to maintain social stability. Science and technology are expected to play a vitally important role in ensuring national security and social stability.
