Answer:

Explanation:

The author narrated the role of Baker, also called as Pedar during his childhood in the following manner:

  • The baker used to visit his village twice a day.
  • The baker played the role of author`s guide and friend.
  • He carried a stick made of bamboo which he used to bang on the ground which resulted in making a sound like 'Jhang, Jhang' which made the author as well as others wake up from their sleep.
  • The author used to rush out and buy the bread and start eating even without brushing his teeth. He was fond of buying bread-bangles.
  • These breads were a must in all the occasions. The sweet bread (Bol) was favorite among the villagers, which was regarded as the most important gift during marriages. It was a main attraction during Christmas festival too.
  • Different types of breads were baked in the furnace to meet the demand of the villagers.
  • The bread seller or baker wore a different attire known as the ‘kabai’. It was a long frock made out of a  single-piece which reached till the knees.
  • During the author childhood days the bread sellers wore trousers which were longer than half pants but shorter than full-pant and longer than half pants.
  •  The baker`s monthly accounts with the household were recoded by writing it on walls in pencil.
  • The bread seller collected their bills on monthly basis.

      Hope this helps.
