In the city, the writer used to teach English to the migrant laborers. He taught them to write and read addresses in English. From 9:30 to 11 in the night he used to teach them. He stayed in a small room which was built on the dirty street. He used to sleep the whole day to avoid the expense of morning tea and meals of the afternoon. He would wake up at four in the evening every day. This was his whole day routine in the city.

Here the narrator had a profession of teaching english to migrant labours.The narrator teach english to them from 9;30 till 11 in the night. Morning he used to wakeup everyday at 4 because he could save the expense of drinking his morning tea and eating the noon meal.This was his whole day routine in the city.
