Answer:A light was shining inside the little chamber, Maggie lay a little raised on the pillow with the lamp shining full upon her face. Mrs. Thompson was sitting by the bed, talking to Maggie. Her back was towards the window. Maggie's eyes were fixed upon Mrs. Thompson, now and then a few words came as if answers from her lips. Her expression was sad and tender but nothing of bitterness or pain was seen.
