the Lahore session of congress marked out some important points;

*a pledge was taken that 26th of January will be celebrated as independence day every year and every one should take pledge to struggle for the nation.
*this was under the president ship of jawaharlal nehru in december 1929 where the Lahore congress signed a "purna swaraj" which meant complete independence.
*this session at last served as a very important one in our history.

hope it helps!!!

There is a lot of importance attached to the Lahore session of the Indian National Congress which was held on December 31, 1929 – January 1, 1930. The significance of Lahore session of Congress main points are:
It was the day when the tricolor was unfurled for the first time by naionalists.
The people would unceasingly strive for the establishment of a Sovereign Democratic Republic of India.
It was held under the Presidentship of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.
which showed the growing strengths of Leftists in the congress.
The signs of the imminent Civil Disobedience Movement were visible in this Congress session only.
A new interpretation of ‘Swaraj’ was accepted, which now meant ‘complete independence’.
The Congress decided not to participate in the Round Table Conference. The Nehru Report was declared to be null and void in the Lahore Congress.
A pledge was taken that January 26 will be celebrated as the “Independence Day” every year.
