1. Representatives of 1 and 2 estate were called to attend a meeting by Louis XVI on 5 may 1789 to discuss the proposal of new taxes.

2.In the past, each estate had one vote in estate general but 3 estate members wanted that there should be right of one vote for each member in Estate General.

3. Their this demand was rejected by king and proposal of new taxes was approved by members of 1 and 2 estate in which 3 estate was not consulted.
4. 3 estate took an oath to fight for their rights which is called tennis court oath.
