The Mesopotamians were the first to build domes,vaults, arches and columns. The ziggurat of ur was there temple tower and it had great significance. The hanging gardens of Babylon were made by king Nebuchadnezzar 2 to impress his wife as she came from a green, rugged place so to impress her he built these.
