It's the same as it was in May 2014 (when so called political transformation took place in India) or maybe even getting worse.
Everything from election results to media houses is being managed and under control of big shots from politics and corporate world.
On government papers
India is becoming cleanerIndian cities are becoming smartIndia is becoming better place to do businessIndia is becoming digital
But in reality
India is nowhere getting cleanIndian cities still don't have many of basic amenitiesIndia has not seen any big industries comingIndia's digital revolution (i.e. Indians switched from 3G to 4G mobile telephony) is backed by the mercy of some top shot corporate which any could start recovering his investment by hiking prices to an unimaginably level.
offcourse some good things took place in India like rolling out of GST but again the way it is being implemented is a total disaster.
The condition of banking system of India is another big concern.
India is loosing its true essence of democracy due to weaker apposition it has in parliament (Note: I don't support any party sitting in apposition but we need the apposition for good politics n better democracy)
So in short India's situation getting worst day by day but only difference is that Indian don't admit the same these days as they are been manipulated by top notch politicians.
The one who has gained power in this country is closing down the way towards the power for others.
But again the situation of India can be improved. The person ruling the country has capacity to influence people. If the Indians are influenced to take right approach
towards scraping of reservation in education and jobstowards becoming more tax complianttowards becoming law abiding citizenstowards being more responsible for public resources
If the Indians would be influenced in national interest rather than political interest Indian can become best place to live.
