what was the situation in India before 1947

Before 1947,india was dominated by the British colonies. Indians after 2 years got the independence in August 15,1947

nancy1338: Before the Independence of India. India was a colony under the British. It was not politically independent. Political rights of Indians were severely limited. It was only through breaking laws and resisting British. India gained.
