The Spartacist League was a political party in Germany spearheaded by Communists under the leadership of Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemberg. They preferred the Soviet style governance and were against the Weimer Republic socialist party. The League wanted Germany to be ruled by the working class community. This is because they believed that the entire nation should have an equal share of wealth and power.  Because of this, they wanted to overthrow the central government and adopt violent means to achieving the results they desired.
