Hello friend!
Here's ur answer!
Jesse Owens knew that he was a good player and could easily win.
He had practised for many months for the Olympics and hoped that he would take some of the gold medals. But in the trials, he fouled two times Jesse Owens then told him to draw the line some inches before the jumping line so that he would not be fouled even though he would go behind the line. This advice helped Jesse Owens to win in the Olympics and pass the trails. The thing which surprised him was that Luz Long, who was a German and he could pass at the first chance in the trials in his practice leaps which would prove more that the Germans were a superior race.
Hope it helps!!☺
Thanks!!☺
