→_→ so these are the my points and theories about this great debut in k-pop :p

group : enhypen

song : given - taken : border day 1

about debut ↓

  • energetic
  • *chef kiss*
  • excellent chore.
  • with many theories
  • great step in k-pop
  • visuals ? mind blowing
  • concept kinda dark but ok :)

better than ↓

  • tbh it's kinda good debut than txt has
  • txt debut with a joyful concept that most ppl didn't like it at all ( I don't like their debut song as well) (¬_¬)
  • now txt starts with joy and now they are dark concept

ABOUT MV

THIS MV IS BASED ON "CHANGE TRANSFORMATION UNCERTAINTY"

→ that explores the the beginning of enhypen's journey into a new stage of their life

GIVEN TAKEN express the mixed emotions of the septet now cusp of the new beginning as enhypen after a long journey towards survival .

there is mid line in mv that represents the two worlds that's why this song name put as given - taken [refer to 1st attachment]

the opposite of given is taken same as life and death , fantasy and reality

now get in point fantasy and reality

→ you may notice that jungwoo is bitten by sunghoo as a vampire [ this can be called a fantasy] [ refer to 2nd attachment]

→ reality boys in present time with a white covered building or whatever is that [refer to 3nd & 4th attachment]

what I hate in this mv ?

  • nothing (probably)
  • just a bit horror ~_~||
  • and confusing (-_-)

NOTE FOR OTHERS : if u called 2nd attachment that they are GAY imma here to slap you , first u here to judGE everyone without knowing anything about the great concept !!!

According to a press release, Given-Taken “conveys the boys' doubts about whether their debut was “given” or they have “taken” the opportunity on their own. The song also brings forth their ambitions to overcome these uncertainties and step foot [sic] into the new world.”
