He had a lot of fans both in England and the US.

Fascism seemed to be working far better than capitalism in both Italy and Germany. The depression was devastating economies around the world yet the two fascist counties seemed to be prospering.

After Hitler’s aims became evident as he conquered country after country and laid siege on Britain with his ruinous air raids. When Britain refused to give in their pluck impressed Americans so that public opinion began to turn in favor of England and against Hitler.

There’s plenty of historical evidence to show you opinions of Hitler from everybody important.

Instead, I will tell you a story from my family.

You see, my grandfather had an older brother who was a bit of a go-getter. He did things that others just talked about. So it was that a young Dutchman traveled to Germany in the 1930s. He went to Bavaria, where he came across a man, some sort of politician, holding a speech of some sort. His German was not that good, just enough to see him through daily life, but obviously nowhere near the level required for political discourse.

My great-uncle was not very impressed with this little man, with his shrill voice and strange moustache.

Obviously that man was Adolf Hitler.

Initially Germany loved him as he solved both the chaos and economic catastrophes of post 1929 Germany.

Since Germany was a pariah State between World War 1 and World War 2 rearmament was very popular…as was the War initially.

Hope this will help u.
