Answer:
Anne was assigned three topics of essay -
- A Chatterbox
- An Incorrigible Chatterbox
- Quack, Quack, Quack, Said Mistress Chatterbox
Explanation:
Anne Frank was in the habit of constantly talking in the class and as a result her math teacher, Mr. Keesing was extremely annoyed with her. As a punishment, Mr. Keesing gave her an extra home work to write an essay on the subject "A Chatterbox". After thinking a lot, she wrote that it was a trait of a student to talk in the class and she would never be able to cure herself of this habit as her mother also talked as mush as she did and according to her one could not do anything about the inherited habits.
Mr. Keesing was impressed to read the first essay. When Anne talked again in the class, Mr. Keesing again asked her to write an essay on the topic "An Incorrigible Chatterbox". This time again Anne was successful to impress Mr. Keesing so much through her writing skill that she didn't get any punishment for two classes.
But she talked again in the class and now Mr. Keesing asked her to write an essay on "Quack, Quack, Quack, Said Mistress Chatterbox". This time Anne wrote the essay in verse form. Here she wrote about a mother duck and a father swan who had three ducklings. But the father killed the ducklings because they quacked too much. Mr. Keesing liked it greatly and read it out to other classes also. Finally he stopped punishing Anne.
