Tricki was suffering from overeating, gluttony, and indolence. As a result he had become very fat. Mrs.Pumphrey did not pay heed to the advice given to her by the narrator; as a result Tricki fell ill. The narrator knew how to treat him. He needed some exercise and normal eating regime to become normal and slimmer and well. So, he took Tricki to his clinic and kept him on normal diet; it played with other dogs, ran, jumped and had lots of fun with them. Within a fortnight he became well. Mrs.Pumphrey was thankful to the narrator at the end.
