Answer:

the triangular slave trade is also known as the trans-atlantic slave trade and france needed this to gain labourers, items like ivory and gold, and raw materials like sugar and rum.

france and england joined the slave trade in 1701.

at the time, arabs, dutch, portuguese and spanish were already pioneering this slave trade.

howere, england was the one who monopolized this trade by trading slaves for free labour.

england traded with the africans so that the africans would give their ppl as slaves for manufactured goods such as guns and clothes.

theese slaves were sent to the americas(carribean islands) to work in plantaions of rum, sugar and tobacco.

theese raw materials were then sent to england

England then made manufactured goods and traded with other countries including france

France depended on England and the slave trade to aqquire goods and materials to be in comfort and prosper.

Extra:

france, later on in the 1800's, had understanding of how cruel the slave trade can be (due to de-humanization and punishments) due to Anne Night ( a woman who went around france and gave speeches about slave trade abolition) . France then helped with the abolition of slave trade and after 1840's, the slave trade was no more.

Now im not trying to be mean, but i rlly think my answer is better than the person who commented before me,since the other isnt correct
