The common link of
friendship between the author and his grandmother was their living together in
the village in the same house. This link was snapped when they were called to
the city. The author was admitted to an English school. She could not help him
with his subjects now. When he further grew up and joined a university, he was
given a separate room which broke the link of their friendship.
